Platinum Card Breaks

This place has four main breakers. There is “D” who works the day shift. Then on the night shift there is Austin, and a husband and wife team “G” and Megz.

These guys mainly do case breaks, so thats why the prices seem a little higher. With certain high end things like Flawless and Definitive they may do a single box break. With the huge increase in prices across the board, most basketball is now in 2 or 3 boxes .

During the day, D does a lot of Bowman. But anything that sells out will break. He has a relaxed breaking style. He is a personable guy. He is able to engage with the chat, while going through the cards. I think this is impressive given how quickly he can go through a box /case.

At night some days Austin come in first and then G and Megz will come in later. Other days G and Megs will come in first, and Austin will come in later. The night crew has a lot more energy.

Starting with Austin. He is the middle ground between D and Gs breaking style. He is quite a bit younger than other breakers out there. That said he has a good knowledge of sports, and is an entertaining breaker.

While I love G’s energy, not everyone will.. He is loud and kinda over the top. Thats why I like his breaking style. When someone hits a super rare card, you would have thought he was pulling it for him self. He and his wife do a lot of breaks together. Megz is a great hostess. She is a much needed female presence in the sports card world.

Here is an example of G’s enthusiasm. You’ll want to turn down the volume to 1 or 2.

The turn around time for getting cards from breaks is anywhere from a few days to a week.

The last break I did with them where I got a hit. The break was on the 28th of the March and the cards where Shipped on the 1st of April. The cards were received a few days later. I can say with 100% that I received my cards and the company is legitimate.
